The NC State swimming and diving teams will host Duke in their final home meets of the 2019-20 season on Saturday, Jan. 18 inside Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center. Both meets will begin at 11 a.m.
The Wolfpack will be coming off meets against North Carolina the previous day in Chapel Hill. Saturday’s match will be Senior Day for the swimming and diving teams, and seniors who will be competing in their last college meet will be honored during the event.
Seniors on the women’s swim roster include Vasiliki Baka, Victoria Fonville, Mackenzie Glover, Jessica Horomanski, Olga Lapteva, Ky-lee Perry, Brooke Rubendall and Makayla Sargent, while seniors on the women’s dive roster include Rachel Burston and Madeline Kline. Seniors on the men’s swim roster include Noah Hensley, Mark McGlaughlin, Jack McIntyre, Tyler Rice and Coleman Stewart, while the only senior on the men’s dive roster is James Brady.
It has been a stellar season for the NC State men’s and women’s swim teams thus far. According to CollegeSwimming, the men’s team is ranked No. 8 in the country, while the women’s team is ranked No. 6. The men’s team is the highest-ranked team in the ACC, while the women’s team is ranked only behind Virginia.
Following Saturday’s meets, the Wolfpack will have two more dual meets before traveling to Greensboro for the ACC Championships. NC State will travel to Virginia on Jan. 24 and then to Virginia Tech on Feb. 1.
