Graduate center Wyatt Walker will transfer from Samford to NC State men’s basketball for the 2018-19 season, he announced on his personal twitter account Friday. As a graduate transfer, Walker will be eligible to play immediately, and he will have two years of eligibility left.
The Jacksonville, Florida native averaged nine points and five rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game last season.
After the announcement that center Omer Yurtseven will transfer to Georgetown, Walker’s addition gives head coach Kevin Keatts a likely rotation of him, incoming junior college transfer Derek Funderburk and incoming freshmen Ian Steere and Immanuel Bates in the post for next season.
