The privately owned Trinity and TX tailgate lots contracted to a buyer last month may become host to a luxury student apartment complex according to The News & Observer. The lots, which include 1,500 parking spaces, were formerly reserved for season ticket holders at NC State football games.
A subsidiary of the Georgia-based development company Landmark Properties submitted a preliminary site plan to the city in January for development at 4110 and 4200 Trinity Road. The apartment complex will consist of 174 units, of which 12 would be one bedroom units, four would be three bedroom units and 158 would be four bedroom units.
The complex would also have 729 parking spaces. The project, named The Station at Raleigh, would span 21 buildings over more than 18 acres. There is no timeline yet as to when the apartments will be built and completed.
Landmark Properties previously developed The Retreat at Raleigh, and has also bought the N.C. Equipment Co. building on Hillsborough St. next to Stanhope Apartments, according to their website.
