How would you describe your music?
sl0wgl0w is a musical collaboration between songwriter Phian Tran – myself – and producer Max Lewis. Their eclectic releases feature dynamic songwriting and soulful vocals over rhythmic, minimalist production.
How did you get involved with Moogfest?
We’ve worked in the past with David Huber of Raund Haus, as well as our friends at Mystic Alley, Steven, Kat, Phil and Zach, who are working for Moogfest. They hit us up to play the Raund Haus stage for Moogfest at Parts and Labor. You don’t need a wristband to go, but it is in association with Moogfest.
What are your past experiences with the festival?
I’ve only been once and only for half a night. I got to see Son Lux, it was magical. But I’m looking forward to seeing more of it this year. I’ve had a lot of friends who have worked for the festival, with varying experiences.
Are you attending the festival as a guest too? If so, what are you most excited for and why?
I’ll be checking out a few shows! I don’t have a whole lot of time but I’m hoping to catch the other artists who will be performing on the Raund Haus stage, there are so many talented artists from the area who deserve way more recognition, as well as Kelela and Jamila Woods. There are many names on the lineup that I don’t recognize, but I’m excited to make some new discoveries!
