In today’s Technician, columnist Russell Witham wrote an article entitled “In Tebow we trust”. The article on a whole, and many of his comments, shed a very negative light on Christianity, and even went so far as to jeer at a Campus Organization, Campus Crusade to be exact. There should be some level of respect. This kind of journalism is in very bad taste and will turn away many of your readers, as it did me. There should be some level of respect demonstrated even when someone may disagree with the “Je-s-us” people, as Russell so eloquently put it. Negative comments like this, pointed towards any religion, should not be tolerated in a paper that is read by the entire campus. Please do your best to ensure things like this do not pass by the esteemed editing staff any more.
