On Saturday afternoon, an appreciation of Chinese calligraphy event was held on Centennial Campus. Three people total were in attendance. An experienced calligrapher demonstrated different strokes and how to use them on a projector so that participants could watch the motions and try to copy the same strokes and movements on their own papers. The event gave a brief overview of how to do calligraphy and gave participants the chance to try out a new activity. The event was put on by the Confucius Institute to teach people about Chinese calligraphy and learn some basic steps about writing calligraphy.
