UNC System President Margaret Spellings is visiting NC State Wednesday as part of her tour of all 17 campuses in the UNC System. Spellings started in her position as UNC System president March 1. She served as Secretary of Education during the George W. Bush Administration from 2005 to 2009. Students are planning to gather on Stafford Commons Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. to protest Spellings’ visit and the passing of House Bill 2.
