Randy and Tiffany Ramsey are the largest single donors in athletic endowments in NC State’s history and have given the largest gift to the Equine Sports Medicine Program in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
The large athletic endowment is called the Randy and Tiffany Ramsey Men’s Basketball Team Endowment and will fund scholarships for the men’s team, which will free up other donations to the Wolfpack Club to support scholarships for other varsity sports. A portion of the endowment will also help pay for a men’s basketball display in the Reynolds Coliseum Walk of Fame, which opens in August.
The gift to the Equine Sports Medicine Program in the College of Veterinary Medicine is called the Tiffany and Randy Ramsey Equine Sports Medicine Program. It will provide operational support for CVM’s equine program, which treats performance-related diseases in Olympic, dressage and pleasure-riding horses. The program will also endow professorships, fund equipment purchases and assist in building and renovating facilities.
Although not an NC State alumnus, Randy fell in love with Wolfpack basketball as a kid. He now serves on the Wolfpack Club Board of Directors, the Athletics Council and the Board of Trustees. The NC State Alumni Association named him an honorary alumnus in 2015.
Tiffany graduated from East Carolina University but worked as a licensed veterinary technician in a College of Veterinary Medicine externship in 2010 and served on the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Foundation Board.
