A tuba museum, reportedly the largest private collection in the world, will have its grand opening in Durham on March 5. Vince Simonetti, the museum’s creator, has amassed a collection of 310 tubas and euphoniums to display. The museum features rooms filled with tubas that hang from walls and ceilings. Simonetti and his wife will offer free tours of the museum. The Simonettis formerly owned The Tuba Exchange, a store that sold instruments for high school bands.
