To our Wolfpack community,
Given the disappointing state of our university’s racial climate, made especially apparent by the surfacing of group chats laced with racist messages and ideologies, and the ongoing racial tension our entire country is facing, we all have things to say.
With a staff averaging around 60, the Technician is a very small percentage of NC State’s diverse community. There are so many additional voices that need to be heard.
We want you to use our unique platform as a means of sharing what you expect and what you want from your university, your community and your newspaper. As always, we invite all members of the Wolfpack to submit letters to the editor or OP-EDs to speak about their ideas, concerns, suggestions and opinions, freely and uncensored.
Now is the time to use your voice to contribute to the conversation. Things won’t change if we do not actively speak out against racism, bigotry and all other manifestations of hate.
