On Saturday night, Mathew Billings, a nonstudent, died as a result of a striking the back of an SUV on his motorcycle near Fraternity Court. Following the collision, Billings was transported to Wake Med, where he was pronounced dead, according to a release from the NC State University Police Department. Cameron White, a freshman studying engineering, was the driver of the SUV. Charges were not filed, and it is unclear whether alcohol was involved, according to the release.
