The Election Commission has named the winners of the 2013 Student Government elections. 

Student body president:

Matthew Williams with 52.3 percent of the vote

“I have no words,” Williams said in regard to his victory. “Thank you to every one, and I’m happy. I was on the phone with my mom when I heard and it’s just craziness right now. I want to thank everyone who voted for me.”

Lauryn Collier won 35.6 percent of the vote, and Dwayne O’Rear won 12.1 percent of the vote.

Student senate president:

Alex Parker with 50.1 percent of the vote

Student body Treasurer:  

Will Gaskins with 50.6 percent of the vote

Student chief justice:

Kenny Hertling with 50.2 percent of the vote

Senior class president:

Rachel Dame with 60.1 percent of the vote

Student centers president:

Wesley Lo with 51.2 percent of the vote

Student centers board of directors:

Parker Megginson and Jenny Summer

UAB president:

Shelby Jones
