A survey of 781 public and private colleges shows that the median base salaries of hourly staff members on college campuses increased by 2 percent in 2014. The results of the survey were released Monday by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources. Of the 145 job categories surveyed, electrician supervisors and police chiefs had the highest median salaries. Associate-degree institutions saw a slightly higher increase, at 2.3 percent.
