More than 300 U.S. Marine, Army, Air Force and Navy personnel who were involved in rescue efforts in Nepal after major earthquakes struck the country ended their operations Wednesday, officials said. The April 25 and May 12 earthquakes in Nepal killed at least 8,622 people and damaged more than 756,000 houses and properties. The U.S. military personnel assisted in search and rescue efforts in urban areas and flew relief goods to mountain villages.
