Firefighters in the UK are warning that the trendy “hoverboard” scooters can blow up while charging. The hugely popular boards have already caused a number of house fires including an incident in which a house was destroyed by one of the charging scooters. The concerns have been prompted by the questionable build of the scooters. Officials urge users to check the scooter’s plugs before paying for the product and verify sellers if buying online.
