Good weather and new attractions led more than a quarter of a million people to attend the N.C. State Fair in just its first three days.
Thursday’s crowd of 50,327 broke the 2010 record of 47,677 and Friday’s crowd of 90,960 blew the 2010 record of 77,485 out of the water. Saturday’s crowd of 126,666 did not break the 1984 record of 139,261, but it beat last year’s first Saturday attendance by more than 10,000.
The N.C. State Fair is open through Sunday, Oct. 25.
