I am writing this letter on behalf of the Student Government presidential and vice presidential candidates Brandon Taylor Craft and Wesleigh McLeod on the “Do Nothing ’08” ticket. They are committed to doing nothing that they are unable to do. As they are roommates of mine, I have observed them doing nothing for countless hours during the past few years. They will prove to be the only candidates who can stand – or rather sit – behind their campaign promises to do absolutely nothing.
While the other candidates pledge change, fee reductions, tuition cuts or other ludicrous, impossible promises, Craft and McLeod “promise to do nothing.” Their only promise is to listen to what the students want and try their best to make it happen: nothing more, nothing less. So ask not who can do the most for you, but who can do the most nothing for you. Choose wisely this Election Day – they may be so busy doing nothing that you could be their only vote. Feel free to contact either of them at www.myspace.com/donothing08 or via e-mail.
