The only match that the Wolfpack won was at No. 1 doubles, with sophomores Berkeley Brock and Daria Petrovic defeating the Cavaliers’ Amanda Rales and Lara Alexander 8-4.
Softball on 3-game streakThe softball team’s 7-1 win against Jacksonville in the USF Under Armor Invitational on Sunday in Clearwater, Fla., capped an 11-game road trip for the team, a run in which the team was 7-4. State is now on a three-game winning streak.
Track stars hit their marksSenior Dexter Adams scored an NCAA automatic qualifying mark in the long jump at Virginia Tech this past weekend, a week after winning the ACC championship in the same event a week earlier at ACC indoor championships.
Senior DeMiracle Washington also won the ACC long jump championship on Feb. 29.
