Headlines that matterMen’s soccer hires assistantThe men’s soccer team will welcome a new assistant to its staff this fall, according to a release from N.C. State Athletics. Godfrey Miller, a youth coach in the Raleigh area since 2002, will be brought on to help with recruiting, the N.C. State Soccer School and on-field coaching.Born in Liberia, Miller came to the United States in 1993 at the age of 15. He played two seasons at St. Augustine’s College, where he earned a degree in criminology in 2000,and has since served as a club coach in the area.

Four awarded ACC Postgraduate ScholarshipsFour N.C. State athletes have been named as recipients of postgraduate scholarships. Seniors John Crews and Chris Kollar of the men’s cross country team and Steven Hauschka and Luke Lathan of the football team were recognized as N.C. State’s four recipients, among 40 total recipients in the ACC.The Wolfpack has won 33 of these awards out of 36 nominations since 1997, according N.C. State Athletics.
