I need my Sudoku. Y’all have been a lot better this semester with having one everyday, but now it has been two days without one and I find myself getting bored at times. I need a Sudoku and I’m sure many others would appreciate it as well

Offensive flyer
I recently learned of a flyer advertising a Chinese New Year celebration at The Goat in Raleigh with a tagline that reads “Come get slant eyed @ The Goat” (to see the flyer, go to http://www.angryasianman.com/2008/02/come-get-slant-eyed-at-goat.html)
I am a faculty member at UNC-Chapel Hill who teaches and researches in the field of Asian American studies. I recently told a candidate we were interviewing for a job, a young Asian-American professor from California, that I was comfortable here — that the kind of racism I had expected in “The South” had not happened.
I suppose I will have to tell him I’m wrong.
What is especially disappointing is the lack of media coverage or outrage around this flyer.
I hope that if a similarly racist flyer targeting African-Americans were distributed that there would be such an outcry that people would be boycotting The Goat and that the Technician would be providing key coverage.
If you could please investigate this incident, it would help to make me feel that the Triangle is, potentially, a place I can call home.

Facts need to be clarified
I feel a correction or at least a clarification is necessary in response to Today’s “Every Camper Deserves a Ticket” and last Friday’s front page story “Campout ticket cut a close call.” You stated today that “Mills, … said he recommended the number of tickets at Campout be cut to 2,500…” yet that statement seems incorrect after speaking with other SG members, hearing Stafford’s request for a 50-50 split and reading Stafford’s statement Friday saying “I’ve talked with Dick Christy and based on your response, I think the best outcome is to tell SG that 1500 tickets will be allocated through campout and the remainder (approx 1400) will be distributed through the normal system.”
There’s a huge difference between 2500 and 1500 tickets and if Mills at any point suggested that idea it needs to be made known. Campout is not a fun sleepover, it’s a tradition and means to a ticket not a lottery. Mills needs to be held accountable for his supporting Stafford and not Jay Dawkins and the students.
I would like to compliment the Technician staff as a whole for Friday’s paper. I was impressed with the relevance and high interest level of the stories including “Yow Inspires Hope”, “Campout ticket cut a close call”, “Alternatives…”, “15 Sit-in at BOG …” and several others specifically “Helping geeks get girls”. Jay Goel’s story was a surprisingly insightful and funny story serving as a pleasant alternative to Nash Yielding’s “Finding the voice of the dissatisfied majority” which was an exaggerated and overly pessimistic view of our political elections while yielding no alternative or call to arms besides a plea to leave him alone which accomplishes so very much in running from it all.
