Registration open for golf tournament
Registration for this year’s College Golf Alliance golf tournament is now open online through the Intramural Sports homepage.
The tournament is serves as a qualifying event for the Collegiate Golf Alliance’s National Collegiate Golf Championship, which will be held in Las Vegas in November. The tournament is a doubles competition with the field split into two primary divisions: student, in which both teammates are students, and open, where at least one team member must be affiliated with the university, while the other golfer may be anyone not on the varsity team or having given up amateur designation.
Fraternity team registration will be listed separately on the CGA website. To advertise the tournament, IM Sports will be hosting a golf exposition next Monday, Sept. 29 from 5-7 p.m. on the Lower Miller Fields, giving students a chance to win prizes and get information about the tournament without pre-registration for the expo.
