Williams nominated for Defensive Player of the Year honorsFormer N.C. State defensive end Mario Williams, now with the Houston Texans, is one of five finalists for the 2007 GMC Defensive Player of the Year Award.Williams finished the season with 59 tackles, 14 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown this season. His 14 sacks tied for third in the NFL and set a franchise record for the Texans, who drafted Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.Voting for the award is done by fans at NFL.com.
