I’m rather disappointed in the Technician‘s apparent inability to be informative about this whole Student Senate/Impeachment fiasco. While the article “Impeachment passes to Senate Committee” told us a great deal about the entire impeachment proceedings, I’m still left in the dark as to why exactly the Student Senate wants to remove Whil Piavis from his position. There have been 22 “specifications” cited against Piavis, but what those allegations are I have no clue. Abuse of Power? What did the Pirate Captain do to qualify as abuse of power? Asked someone to get him a cup of coffee and forgot to say please? Come on now, Technician writers, there’s a large chunk of the story missing here and it just so happens to be the most important part. If the Student Senate are withholding the details, what are they afraid of and why aren’t you doing your job and pushing for the truth?
