In Wednesday’s article “Hillsborough Hike to incorporate music, food,” Student Senate President Zach Adams was reported saying he doesn’t anticipate a problem if students of a legal age bring alcoholic beverages to the concert held on the night of the Hillsborough Hike. According to Senior Class President Carla Babb, no students will be allowed to bring alcohol to the concert.Adams also stated the event was planned in cooperation with the Hillsborough Street Commission. Although partially funded by Student Government, the concert is not affiliated with the commission and was planned by the Senior Class Board of Trustees, according to Babb.
She said the concert and food is a senior-sponsored event held at the end of Senior Week. Although she said it is geared, in theory, toward seniors, organizers will not turn away other attendees.
CorrectionsIn Wednesday’s article “Hillsborough Hike to incorporate music, food,” the organizers of the concert were incorrectly referred to as the Senior Class Council. The organizers of the event are actually the Senior Class Board of Trustees.
In the photograph caption of Wednesday’s article “Spring weather lures students outside,” the subject of the photo was incorrectly mentioned as Gregg Dotson. The student’s name is actually Gregg Dodson.
