Respect for animals I was offended by Kenneth Ball’s frequent reference to “eating pig” and how every student on campus should enjoy a pig barbecue. As a strict vegetarian, I do not believe in eating meat because 1.) it is not healthy and 2.) it is not morally appropriate to eat animals. I have and I never will participate in a meat-roasting barbecue. I prefer a 100 percent veggie barbecue with fruits and vegetables. Eating animals doesn’t do any benefit for anybody, except lead to hypertension and long-term heart problems. I hope I don’t see pig referenced the way Kenneth wrote about again. All animals deserve to be treated with dignity.

Treasure the experience I enjoyed reading Joy’s view on underclassmen and how they feel about the near end of the college experience at State. As a graduating senior who will be graduating with a degree in accounting, I will really miss N.C. State and all the good times and memories I had here. The college experience passes by extremely fast and should be treasured and remembered. If I ever have to take future classes for my career path, I will be sure to come back to NCSU and re-experience the college life! But your first four years of college are the most precious years of your life, and no amount of studying for hard final exams can change that.
