Flowers for Miami, tooThe volleyball team honored seniors Melissa Rabe and Lyssa Ramirez before Saturday night’s match, with each of them receiving flowers and a hug from coach Charita Stubbs. But it didn’t end there, as Stubbs also gave each Miami senior flowers before the game to honor Senior Day. It’s something she said her program did when she was an assistant at Arizona.
Team is ‘the best’Signs littered the railing around the bottom of the seating area in Reynolds Coliseum, mainly honoring the team’s seniors. But one sign said “WOLFPACK VOLLEYBALL IS THE BEST!!!!” Meanwhile, the team moved within two losses of another winless ACC campaign.
Tennis team gets into itSome members of the men’s tennis team were in attendance, and they made their presence felt. When the team was losing the match, but winning the current game, they would shout things such as “scoreboard” and “we’re winning.” They even chanted “sit” at one point when Miami’s coach was arguing a call, and they cheered their approval when she did.
