Coming off losses last weekend against Florida State and Miami, the volleyball team will close its season this coming weekend with road matches at Maryland and Boston College. N.C. State will visit Maryland for a 2:30 p.m. match on Friday and will finish its weekend and its season with a 1 p.m. match at Boston College on Saturday.
In coach Charita Stubbs’ first season, the team has a 2-27 overall record and an 0-20 ACC mark. Since snapping a 75-match conference losing streak in October 2005 at Boston College, the team has dropped 32 consecutive conference matches.
Senior setter Melissa Rabe and senior defensive specialist Lyssa Ramirez will be playing in the final match of their careers.
The team lost 3-1 to Boston College on Oct. 20 this season, and the next night the team blew a two-game lead to lose 3-2 to Maryland. That weekend marked the closest set of ACC matches in a weekend for the Wolfpack this season.
