Cold: Symptoms are cough and stuffy nose
Flu: Symptoms are fatigue, sore throat, body aches, fever (100-104), headache and cough
Treating the Flu
-See a healthcare provider within 48 hours of symptoms to consider a prescription medication that may shorten the course
-Get increased rest and fluids. Stay home from work or school.
-Fatigue and cough may continue for days after fever and aches have resolved
-Cough medication may also be used as needed
-Acetaminophen and ibuprofen may be used to treat fever and body aches
