Global warming symposium to begin today
Brian Lewis
N.C. State will host a global warming symposium beginning today and running through Wednesday. The times and locations for the symposium events vary each day.
This symposium will cover the topic of global warming from an interdisciplinary point of view. Today, Elizabeth Kolbert, a writer for The New Yorker and author of Field Notes from a Catastrophe: Man, Nature, and Climate Change, will speak at 7 p.m. at the Campus Cinema in the Witherspoon Student Center.
“People should really attend this symposium,” Chrissy Johnsen, a freshman in nuclear engineering, said. “Since global warming directly affects our future it’s important to have a better understanding so we can make a difference.”
