Poor decisions by administration
Once again I am baffled by our administration’s handling of the football game. The last football game of the year, and they block off half the vet school lot. This severely limited parking for those of us who can’t afford to pay for parking. I was lucky enough to find a spot next to the train tracks though I am sure others were not so lucky.
When we got to the gate to enter the game an usher informed us that seating would be limited to 7/8 and 14/15 only. The administration decided there was not a large student demand and sold the student seats in both the north and south end zones (the north end zone had less than 50 people in it all game). I hope every student who wanted to go to this game was able to get a ticket, but if you weren’t able to get one I encourage you to complain to the administration (maybe you can get some of your student fees back).

It’s not just toilet paper
In response to Mr. Triplett’s “It’s just toilet paper” forum letter: you are so very, very wrong.
A noose is a symbol of hatred and fear, and nothing else. To say that it isn’t is pure ignorance. It doesn’t matter what race an incident like this past month’s is aimed towards. All that matters is that, even if only a prank, a noose stands for death, and an incident like this ought to be treated with utmost seriousness.
In my opinion, slavery was the American version of the Holocaust. And in that matter, this incident was really no different from someone hanging a flag of a swastika. Do I think the University can do much more than they already have concerning the incident?
No.
But do I think the incident should be looked at as a hate crime and reason for expulsion (if the culprit is ever found)?
Yes.
And in response to your comment that nooses are just symbols and symbols “only mean what each of us want them to mean,” I hate to break it to you, but no noose has ever stood for flowers and sunshine.
