Headlines that MatterWomen’s basketball signs 2The women’s basketball program picked up two recruits Wednesday on the first day of this season’s early signing period.Michelle Davis, a 6-foot-3 power forward, and 5-foot-11 wing forward Bonae Holston both committed to play for Kay Yow and the Wolfpack. Davis, of Cleveland, Tenn., averaged 15 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game last season for Cleveland High School. She is also listed as an honorable mention All-American in Street & Smith’s preseason recruiting guide. Holston, from Newport News, Va., averaged 16 points and 10.6 rebounds per game for Heritage High School last season.
