Today’s Homecoming Parade has officially been cancelled due to the weather, event organizers announced a short time ago. The parade which was set to begin at 6 p.m. on Hillsborough Street will not be taking place this year.
“We are definitely disappointed that we have to cancel the parade. We are glad that we are finally getting the rain we need, though. Anna Patton and Laura Miller [Parade co-chairs] have put in a lot of time and effort into having a wonderful parade, and it’s sad to see their work not come to light. We hope everyone will still come out to Pack Howl tonight and support the football team,” Adam Compton, publicity chair of Homecoming, said.
Tonight’s Pack Howl Pep Rally and Concert will take place according to schedule. Doors to Reynolds Coliseum will open at 7 p.m., and tickets are still available.
