Pigskin Picks

It is nice to see all of those who went against N.C. State this week take a hit in the Pigskin Picks standings, a game that is ultimately pointless and trivial. Maybe this will encourage those who write for the Technician to take THEIR TEAM, especially when playing a rival, so that our team isn’t beaten down by the supposed fans who are supposed to support them. No one will remember who won Pigskin Picks next year. However, providing such a negative atmosphere before a game could have serious implications on team morale and fan atmosphere. Please keep that in mind the next time you have the urge to publicly go against the team that so many of the rest of us live and die for.

Tired of smokers on campus

I’m really tired of walking around campus in a large group of people and the person in front of me is smoking a cigarette or cigar. It’s disgusting to have the smoke blown right in my face just because I’m walking behind the smoker. I think if people are going to smoke around campus, they need to be stationary (versus walking right in front of us nonsmokers, blowing smoke in our faces!) or there needs to be designated smoking areas like at an amusement park. I personally hate the smell of cigarettes and shouldn’t have to go out of my way in order to get a breath of fresh air.
