Swimming and diving teams pick up wins
The women’s team beat William & Mary and lost to ECU, while the the men’s team beat both schools in the season opener this Saturday at Greenville.
The N.C. State women beat the Tribe 194-106, but lost to the Pirates 174-124. Freshman Jennifer Kopenitz was the Wolfpack’s top performer, taking first in the 200-backstroke and placing second in both the 200-butterfly and 200-IM.
The men’s team beat William & Mary 234-64 and topped ECU 204-96. Redshirt Junior Stephen Mellor placed first in all three of his events, and State grabbed the top spot in all five freestyle events.

Baseball releases spring schedule
The baseball team released its season schedule over the weekend. N.C. State will face ACC foes Duke, Wake Forest, Miami, Virginia and Boston College at Doak Field. The Wolfpack will play 34 games at home.
