Italian Grilled Cheese
PREP TIME 2 Min COOK TIME 3 Min READY IN 5 Min INGREDIENTS · 1/4 cup unsalted butter · 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (optional) · 12 slices white bread · 1 teaspoon dried oregano · 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese · 1 (24 ounce) jar vodka marinara sauce
DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat broiler. 2. Place six slices of bread onto a baking sheet. Spread a small handful of themozzarella cheese over each slice. Top with the remaining six slices of bread. Mixtogether the butter and garlic powder, brush some over the tops of the sandwichesor spread with the back of a tablespoon. Sprinkle with dried oregano. 3. Place baking sheet under the broiler for two to three minutes, until golden brown. Remove pan from oven, flip sandwiches, and brush the other sides with butter, and sprinkle with oregano. Return to the broiler, and cook until golden, about two minutes. 4. Cut sandwiches in half diagonally and serve with vodka sauce for dipping.

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Onthe unbuttered side of one slice, layer the feta and cheddar cheeses, redonion and tomato. Top with the other slice of bread with the butter side out. 2. Fry the sandwich until golden brown on each side, about two minutes per side.The second side always cooks faster.
Grilled Cheese with Tomato, Peppers and Basil

INGREDIENTS · 8 slices bread · 4 slices cheddar cheese · 1 large tomato, sliced · 2 serrano peppers, seeded and thinly sliced · 2 teaspoons dried basil · salt and pepper to taste · 2 tablespoons butter
DIRECTIONS 1. Butter one side of each slice of bread, and place four of the slicesbutter-side down on a griddle over medium heat. 2. On each piece of bread, place one slice of cheese, one slice of tomato and afew slices of serrano pepper. Sprinkle dried basil, salt and pepper to taste. Top each sandwich with a slice of buttered bread, butter-side up. 3. Grill sandwiches until golden brown, about two to three minutes each side.

DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. 2. Butter one side of nine of the slices, and place butter-side down on a bakingsheet. Arrange cheese on each slice of bread. Spread butter on nine remaining slices of bread, and place them butter-side up on top of the cheese. 3. Bake in preheated oven for six to eight minutes. Flip the sandwiches, and bake an additional six to eight minutes, or until golden brown.
Tomato Bacon Grilled Cheese INGREDIENTS · 8 slices bacon · 1/4 cup butter, softened · 8 slices white bread · 8 slices american cheese · 8 slices tomato DIRECTIONS 1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat untilevenly brown. Drain, and set aside. 2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Spread butter onto one side of eachslice of bread. Lay four slices of bread, butter side down, in the skillet. Top witha slice of cheese, two slices tomato, bacon, and another slice of cheese. Cover witha slice of bread, butter-side up. Fry sandwiches until golden on both sides.
Smashed Sandwiches Yield: makes four sandwiches ingredients: · 1/2 pound Kosher or Boar’s Head salami (hard) · 1/4 pound cheddar cheese, sliced · 1/4 pound provolone cheese, sliced · 8 slices swiss cheese · 4 tablespoon Dijon or Grey Poupon mustard · 4 tablespoons French’s mustard · 4 tablespoons butter, softened · 8 Hoagie or sub rolls, with sesame seed tops Directions:
1. Spread Hoagie rolls across counter. 2. Apply one tablespoon Dijon or Grey Poupon mustand on the inside of each hoagie bottom. 3. Apply one tablespoon of French’s mustard on the inside of each hoagie top. 4. Place cheddar cheese on top of each hoagie bottom. Divide equally among the sandwiches. 5. Cover cheddar cheese with a layer of salami slices. Overlap salami rounds. 6. Layer swiss cheese slices over salami. 7. Cover swiss cheese with another layer of salami slices. 8. Top salami with a layer of provolone cheese. Cover with hoagie top. 9. Butter top and bottom of hoagie roll and grill sandwich until cheese melts andruns out from bread. A spatula may be used to flatten the sandwich. The cheesethat runs out will turn crisp.
