Women’s Center hosts bake sale in Brickyard
The Women’s Center will hold its Pay Equity Bake Sale today in the Brickyard.
This bake sale is designed to showcase the inconsistencies in the prices men and women pay for similar goods and services. Men will pay $1 for cookies, brownies and other baked goods, while women will pay 75 cents because women make approximately 75 cents for every dollar a man earns, according to the Women’s Center.
All proceeds will go toward an Alternative Spring Break trip to Guatemala.
