In the page-one story “Auditor reveals employee to have dead person’s Social,” News Editor Josh Harrell mistakenly attributed a statement. It was actually Barbara Carrol, associate vice chancellor for human resources, who said, “We’re issuing 22,000 W-2s and to have one that’s wrong is about a 99.999 percent accuracy rate. The numbers show that we do a very good job of checking, and even the state auditor complimented us, and they rarely compliment anyone.”
In the athletic schedule on page 10, Deputy Sports Editor Clark Leonard mistakenly listed the time for the wrestling match against Newberry Saturday. The match will take place at 2 p.m.
