Hillsborough Street will be closed to through traffic every night from Sunday through Wednesday, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m, while Pipeline Utilities installs a water main at the intersection of Daisy Street and Hillsborough Street.

According to the City of Raleigh, contaminated soil exists at the Daisy Street intersection, and extra steps must be taken to remove and replace the soil, requiring a longer time frame to complete the water main installation.

All businesses will remain open during the time of the road closure, and westbound through traffic will be detoured to Brooks Avenue, to Wade Avenue, to Faircloth Street, while eastbound traffic will be detoured to Faircloth Street, to Wade Avenue, to Brooks Avenue.
