Four Wolfpack athletes earn post-graduate recognition
NC State had four student-athletes among the 54 who received postgraduate awards from the ACC, the league announced on Wednesday. Seniors Jennifer Mathurin and Ashley Williams from women’s basketball, along with senior Natalie Labonge from women’s swimming received the Weaver-James-Corrigan postgraduate scholarships, and senior Alexia Zevnik got the Weaver-James-Corrigan Honorary Award. These scholarships go to student-athletes that want to go to graduate school after they finish their undergraduate degree. Each recipient gets $5,000 to be used for graduate school. They will be honored at the annual Cone Health ACC Postgraduate Luncheon that is hosted by the Nat Greene Kiwanis Club and presented by ESPN at the Four Seasons hotel in Greensboro.

Pack heads to ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships
The NC State track and field team heads to South Bend, Indiana, Thursday for the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Loftus Sports Center. The tournament will take place through Saturday and represents the last chance for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships. The Pack currently has four athletes in qualifying position and four others that are within 10 spots of the top 16. In last year’s ACC Indoor Championships, the men’s team finished fourth while the women’s team finished seventh. Additionally, the teams combined for 15 All-ACC players.

Women’s tennis drops ACC home opener to No. 17 Duke
The No. 16 NC State women’s tennis team fell to rival No. 17 Duke, 5-2, Wednesday at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The loss dropped the Pack to 8-3 on the season and snapped a five-game winning streak. The Wolfpack started off by taking the doubles point, but fell in five of the six singles matches. Sophomore Amanda Rebol was the only State player to earn a singles victory, winning in three sets 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. NC State faces another rival, UNC-Chapel Hill, at home Tuesday at 3 p.m.
