Over 100 representatives from NC State student organizations*, including the executive cabinet of Student Government, executive board of the Inter-Residence Council and Union Activities Board, have signed a statement pledging to “fight for your [DACA recipients’] safety, your right to legally work in the United States, and your right to stay here in the country you’ve only known to call home.”
In the statement, the organization representatives urge NC Representatives Thom Tillis, Richard Burr and David Price to “help create and pass a version of the DREAM act that proctects DACA recipients agaisnt the threat of deportation.”
The statement was released in leadup to the Defend DACA Rally taking place in Stafford Commons in front of Talley at noon, today.
