Throughout her career at N.C. State, senior gymnast Taylor Seaman has excelled, and this season proved to be no different. Seaman consistently led the gymnastics team with top quality performances in all events.
From day one, Taylor has shown that a combination of athletic ability and determination can not only raise the level of an individual’s performance, but also have a huge impact on the quality of performance from the team. Her top performances often earned her a spot on the winner’s platform at the end of meets. She has always been known for
her fan friendly showcases on floor, but she could also always be called upon, when needed, to perform well in any given event.
At regionals this season she used a variety of high scoring performances to qualify for the national championships in the all around competition. As she did a year ago, Seaman was once again the only gymnast from N.C. State to qualify for nationals.
At nationals this season, Seaman became the first All-American ever in the 30-year history of the Wolfpack gymnastics program. Her All-American honors on the uneven bars put the final touch on what has been an extremely successful career at N.C. State and were a big reason she earned the honor of female athlete of the year.
Taylor will leave the Pack as one of the most decorated gymnasts to ever come through the program and there will forever be many banners hanging in the practice facility with her name on them.
