Show pride for your country first

I have had the pleasure of seeing two of N.C. State’s football games this year. I have noticed that some State fans yell the words “red” and “Wolfpack” during the playing of the national anthem. The words that came to my mind to describe this behavior are tacky and juvenile. I am all for showing your school spirit. State fans travel well to games and do a great job of supporting the Wolfpack. However, in my opinion, there is no place for yelling during the national anthem. Learn and sing the anthem. Yell for your team after it.
