Let students pitch in too
As an N.C. State student, I find the faith in the student body sad. Continuously students at N.C. State achieve the most amazing things, but the campus refuses to acknowledge our skills outside of the classroom for the betterment of our school. We are known as one of the top universities for our Horticulture programs, yet not a single horticulture student is ever asked to fix up some of the plant life around campus. We have some of the brightest students in Engineering but not a single on is ever asked about what’s best for a new building on campus. At N.C. State, we learn to change lives with the things we do in and out of the classroom, but I am starting to doubt if the faculty truly believes in us. No one is asking for the campus to be lead by students in every position, but we are asking for the opportunity to be involved in renovating our campus. How it looks and how it is ran. If you are said to breed the best and brightest then show it through your actions. No one knows more about the campus than the students who spend large majorities of their lives looking at it and working on it.
