On Thursday, March 7, NC State campus police found guns and ammunition in a car parked at the Dan Allen parking deck, according to WRAL.

Police received a tip from the mother of the car’s owner, who told law enforcement that her son recently purchased three firearms. Law enforcement officers then contacted campus police, proceeded to search the white 2013 Toyota 4Runner and found three long guns, a pistol-shaped BB gun and at least 3 boxes of ammunition.

While the vehicle is believed to have been owned by a student, police do not believe there was an immediate threat to campus at the time when weapons were seized.
