After a nationwide search, Frank Buckless, interim dean of the Poole College of Management, has been appointed dean of the college.
According to NC State News, Buckless has served as a faculty member at NC State since 1989, been head of the Department of Accounting for 18 years and was appointed associate dean for faculty and academic affairs.
“I am grateful to be part of the Poole College community where our students, alumni, faculty, staff, employers and friends work tirelessly to think beyond traditional boundaries and to do the extraordinary,” Buckless said in an interview with NC State News.
Warwick Arden, executive vice chancellor and provost, said in an email that Buckless’s experience within the college and university and his understanding of the value of partnerships was a large factor in why he was selected for the position.
