Amanda Maples will be at the North Carolina Museum of Art to speak toward the future of the museum’s African collection. What new pieces will be brought in, as well as the growing importance of the southeastern United States, as the focal point for African Art. There will be a buffet-style lunch being served.

People will be teaching participants basic painting techniques and help participants learn about the creative process through blending nature and creativity. They will also provide a straight-from-the-farm vegetarian meal for all people who attend.
