According to the Student Health Center, many cases of influenza have been reported. In the first week of class, the health center saw four cases.
Julie Casani, director of Student Health Services, recommends students who are experiencing flu-like symptoms practice good hand and respiratory hygiene, stay away from crowds and classes and get vaccinated.
According to Casani, Student Health has received its first shipment of the vaccine and will begin administering it soon. Students do not need an appointment and can get vaccinated at the center anytime between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., except Tuesdays when the center opens at 9.
