On Monday morning, students were informed of a home invasion that occurred off-campus on Wilder St., north of Ligon St. and west of Method St.
The investigation is ongoing, according to NC State Campus Police, and is being led by the Raleigh Police Department.
According to the WolfAlert, the suspects are 2 black males in dark clothing possibly carrying a firearm. They were assumed to be headed north, away from NC State campus, after the home invasion.
The search occurred in the area south of Hillsborough St. and north of Western Blvd, towards I-440. Many students live in the neighborhood where the invasion took place, according to WRAL.
This is the third robbery NC State students have been notified about via WolfAlert since the beginning of the Spring semester.
According to Major Ian Kendrick, Support Services Commander of NC State campus police, North Carolina law states that the campus police department has authority over streets that border NC State’s campus which includes the aforementioned streets, which is why students were alerted about the robbery.
Students who may know more about this incident have been requested to contact the Raleigh Police Department at 919-878-3561.
