Update 11:33 a.m.: According to a statement from the Raleigh Police Department, Cedric Jamal Kearney and Antonio Dequan Fletcher have been charged with shooting the Raleigh Police Officer.
In a statement from Raleigh Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown, she said that the Police Officer who was shot is out of surgery.
“The officer who was shot in this incident is out of surgery,” Deck-Brown said in a statement. “The Raleigh Police Department is grateful for all of the support from the various law enforcement agencies, the surgeons and medical staff, and the community. We ask that everyone continue to pray for the officer and his family.”
Kearney was charged with charged with attempted murder, assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Fletcher has been charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
Update 12:09 a.m.: Per a Tweet from the Raleigh Police Department, the officer who was injured sustained multiple gunshot wounds and is currently in surgery. One suspect is in custody and officers and law enforcement agencies are currently searching for the second suspect.

According to ABC 11, a police officer was shot in the neck after Raleigh Police responded to a suspicious call on Wednesday night.
The officer was taken to WakeMed hospital where they are receiving medical treatment, but their medical condition is currently unknown. Currently, the hospital is on “red diversion,” which means non-trauma patients will be taken to alternate hospitals for treatment, according to WRAL.
The incident occurred at 8 p.m. near Western Boulevard and I-440, at Schaub Drive at an apartment complex. Officers are currently going door-to-door searching for the suspect and have shut down multiple roads and part of I-440 to search.
WakeMed and Raleigh-Wake Emergency Community Center did not provide Technician with any updates.
