NC State basketball is set to hire Justin Gainey as its new head coach. Gainey was a point guard for NC State in the late ‘90s and previously served as Tennessee’s associate head coach. Under Gainey, the Volunteers fell outside of the top three in KenPom defensive efficiency only once in five years.
